Samantha Barks (born 02 October 1990) is a professional actress and singer from the Isle of Man.
Sam has been dancing since the age of 3, training in Ballet, Modern and Tap. She was also a member of the Manx Operatic Society, which provided her with a lot of performing experience
Her previous work (all in the Isle of Man) includes playing Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, The Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland, The Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, Dancing in Coppelia

O Magnum Mysterium
This is one of my most recent works, and surely one of my best. This piece went from being a small project to pass the time, to a virtual choir experience, to having a world premiere in May 2021, conducted by Dr. Gerrit Scheepers and performed by the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Chorale. This piece endured a wild ride, but came out better than I could have imagined.more

Explorations of a New World
This was one of my compositions from about a year ago, which I wrote for my music theory class. When composing this piece, I had images of young people exploring rural Europe at twilight, so hopefully that imagery comes across in the music. It is written in G Dorian for solo piano.more
